Los santos inocentes

I really liked this story because it tells about Spain in the1970s. This story shows how rich people treated normal people, they were treated like animals and they  accepted their possition like servants. They didn't have any time for themselves. the author Miguel Delibes was a very good autor. He enjoyed hunting and because of that in the book we see how the rich people treated their servants when they were hunting. I really liked it because I don't think that Spain was like that in that year is a very good story I really recommend people to read it.

Edad Prohibida

I liked  this book very much when I read it,
apart from the things that happened in my
life in this moment, because it seemed to be
written for young people, their lives were
reflected in a simple book, this is something that, in
my opinion, few writers can do.
I honestly recommend this book to all
those people who are not used to reading, because
maybe their opinion will change.

Harry Potter series

One of the books that probably most influenced me in my childhood were The Harry Potter series written by J.K Rowling. My sister was the first to read them, and soon later I began to read them. When I was reading the first book, I was kind a small so I got a bit scared and I stopped reading it. I waited a couple of months to start again. After that I couldn't stop and I've read the 7 of them now, (in english of course). My favourite ones are Harry Potter aqnd the Prisioner of Azkaban,Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.(The third, fourth and last of the series).
Its a story of a boy named Harry. His parents were killed by Lord Voldemort when he was only one year old. He grows up with his aunt, uncle and cousin Dudley(which he dislikes). Harry gets accepted to Hogwarts School of Wichcraft and Wizardy, although his aunt and uncle dont want him to go, he manages to attend thanks to the help of Hagrid, Hogwart's gamekeeper. So the books write about his adventures in Hogwarts and in the magical world with the help of his two best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
These books have been so special for me because on one hand I've read them since I was little and on the other hand all the magic that the books has for itself because the books describe magical things but it also teach valuable lessons of loyalty, friendship and love. Anyway I recommend these books to everyone who loves fantasy and magical adventures. Another thing I love from the book is all the vocabulary and spells invented by J.K Rowling. It's amazing how much imagination that woman has!. Don't get scared because they are too thick, if you are enjoying your reading, it will seem the shortest books ever.

the child with the striped pijamas

I like this book, because it was based on real facts.
I was moved when this book teach me how bad people can be.
This book is set during the second world war.
The story begins when one day a German family move to a new house near a concentration camp. Ralph, the father, who was a strict commander of the nazy party , had just been assigned to a new position. His son called Bruno was 8 years old,He was bored so he decided to explore although his mother told him not to go away from the house. He met a little boy called Samuel, who wore a kind of striped pijamas; despite his aspect they became friends, they used to play together but always separated by a horrible gate. THEN THE STORY CONTINUES,THEY DIED. BUT I'M NOT GOING TO TELL YOU HOW AND WHY THEY DIED.

The Alchemist

One of the best books that I have read recently is The Alchemist by Paolo Coehlo. It is the story of a young shepherd who abandons his flock in southern Spain and travels across the Sahara Desert in search of the Great Pyramids. The novel, however, is much deeper than this simple story line. It is filled with allegories and metaphors that caused me to consider my own life and future goals. I found the novel so inspirational that I bought a copy of it for my younger sister. She is a college student and, like the young shepherd, is faced with many difficult choices. During the coming years, she will have to find apartments, apply for jobs, and begin shaping her own life, and I hope that the novel will help her understand these decisions better and figure out what her goals really are.

I recommend this book to all of you for the same reasons. The book is perfect for young adults who want to understand the world around them and who are starting to consider their own futures. So, grab a copy and start dreaming!

The Diary of Anne Frank

The diary of Anne Frank , is a beautiful book about that a family that were jews and, in those years jews were imprisoned because the nazis wanted to kill them in concentration camps.
When Anne's family received an a letter ordering them to leave their home, they prepared everything and in the night they escaped to a house that was hidden. Anne Frank had amost useful present on her birthday: a diary. She wrote her story in it and said all the things that passed in this time. Finally the nazis found them an sent them to a concentration camp an in there died all the familly except her father who found the diary and published it. It's a lovely history but very sad. its my favourite book because I love real stories.

La Perla John Steinbeck

This book has a very special story, it shows how rich people consider themselves better than poor people only because they have money...too much money. I think Kino became crazy!!!!This family were happy enough with what they had and when they get the pearl they loose all everything. Ambition is always bad.

The Metamorphose

The metamorphose is a short story written by the Czech writer Franz Kafka included in his book '' The Metamorpfose and other stories''.

The protagonist of the story was Gregor Samsa, who lived with his family in central Europe. The plot of the book is a wonderfull metaphore, using the figure of an insect to describe the mood of Gregor, (a great depression).
The ''metamorphose'' took place in a morning when the mother entered in Gregor's bedroom and he found his an ''insect'' instead of his son. Then Gregor lived shut up in his bedroom, and this situation disestablish the family way of living...

Diario de un emigrante

I had read many books by Delibes years ago but I read this one after the author's recent death. I enjoyed reading it very much because it is very realistic and full of humour. I also liked it because Lorenzo, the main character reminds me of my father, who was also very fond of hunting. The language is very rich with lots of colloquial expressions which transport me to my childhood in a town of Castilla.
I recommend you to read it but have a dictionary at hand, I'm sure you'll need it!!
